ప్రపంచమంతా ప్రామాణికంగా ఉపయోగించే క్యాలెండరు "గ్రెగోరియన్".  

ఖగోళ విషయాలలో సౌరమానంలో మరింత సరళత మరియు ఖచ్చితత్వం కోసం అంటే పాత జూలియన్ క్యాలెండరులోని పొరపాట్ల వల్ల పండుగలు, ముఖ్యంగా ఈస్టర్, తప్పుగా జరుగుతున్నందుకు అప్పటి జూలియన్ క్యాలెండరుకు మార్పులు చేర్పులు చేసి పోప్ గ్రెగరీ XIII 1582 లో పండుగలు మరియు ఇతర ముఖ్యమైన తేదీలు ఖచ్చితమైన సమయంలో జరగడానికి ఎందరో ఖగోళవేత్తలు, గణితశాస్త్రవేత్తలు, మరియు ఆధ్యాత్మిక నాయకులు చేసిన సూచనలకు అనుగుణంగా ఒక క్యాలెండరును పరిచయం చేశారు. దానినే మనం గ్రెగోరియన్ క్యాలెండరు అంటున్నాము. 

గ్రెగోరియన్ క్యాలెండరు అనేది సౌరమాన క్యాలెండరు, అంటే ఇది భూమి సూర్యుని చుట్టూ తిరిగే సమయం ఆధారంగా ఉంటుంది, గ్రెగోరియన్ క్యాలెండరు ఖచ్చితమైన లీపు సంవత్సరాలను అందిస్తుంది, ప్రతి 400 సంవత్సరాలకు ఒకసారి సూర్యుని కదలికతో సరిగ్గా సరిపోతుంది. 

దీని సరళత మరియు ఖచ్చితత్వం వల్ల ప్రపంచంలోని అన్ని దేశాలు ఒకేసారి కాకపోయినా, విడతలవారీగా ఈ క్యాలెండరు "కాలసూచి"ను అనుసరించి ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా సమయాన్ని ప్రామాణీకరించారు.

ప్రపంచం మొత్తం గ్రెగోరియన్ క్యాలెండరును అనుసరిస్తాయి. కానీ నేపాల్, ఆఫ్ఘనిస్తాన్, ఇరాన్, సౌదీఅరేబియా మరియు ఇథియోపియా అధికారికంగా వారి సొంత క్యాలెండరును అనుసరిస్తాయి. ద్వితీయ శ్రేణిలో అవి గ్రెగోరియన్ క్యాలెండరును అనుసరిస్తాయి. 

భూమి తన చుట్టు తను భ్రమిస్తూ సూర్యుని చుట్టూ కూడా పరిభ్రమించడం లాగా భారతదేశం కూడా అధికారికంగా గ్రెగోరియన్ క్యాలెండరును, విశిష్టమైన విషయాలలో సంప్రదాయమైన పంచాంగం అంటే సౌరమాన, చంద్రమాన, బృహస్పతిమాన, శిఖ, కాలసూచిని మన నామకరణాలు, ఉపనయనాలు, కల్యాణాలు ఇంకా మిగతావి అన్ని అనుసరిస్తూ అసలైన అస్తిత్వాన్ని సహజంగానే దృఢంగా కాపాడుకుంటొంది.

The "Gregorian" calendar is used universally as the standard calendar.

Due to errors in the old Julian calendar, festivals, especially Easter, were falling on incorrect dates. To correct these inaccuracies, Pope Gregory XIII introduced a calendar in 1582 based on the recommendations of many astronomers, mathematicians, and spiritual leaders to ensure festivals and other important dates occur at precise times. This calendar is known as the Gregorian calendar.

The Gregorian calendar is a solar calendar, meaning it is based on the Earth's orbit around the Sun. It provides accurate leap years, aligning precisely with the Sun's movement once every 400 years.

Due to its simplicity and accuracy, almost all countries worldwide, though not simultaneously but in phases, adopted this calendar system for global time standardization.

The entire world follows the Gregorian calendar. However, Nepal, Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Ethiopia officially follow their own calendars. They follow the Gregorian calendar only secondarily.

Just as the Earth rotates on its axis and also revolves around the Sun, India officially follows the Gregorian calendar, while for the Core Specific matters, it naturally and firmly preserves its true identity by following the traditional Panchangam, which includes the Solar, Lunar, and Jovian calendars, along with the Shaka calendar and other timekeeping systems, for our naming ceremonies, Upanayana ceremonies, weddings, and all other events.
